Information
--------
The postdocs will be
part of our team in School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS) at
Singapore Management University (SMU) for the Research Lab for Intelligent
Software Engineering (RISE) to focus on AI-based code analysis and transformation
techniques for translating C/C++ code to more memory-safe Rust code for improving
software quality.
Expected outputs for
the positions are research papers and prototype tools for analyzing and
transforming software code (mostly C/C++ and Rust) with combinations of program
analysis, data mining and/or deep learning techniques. Each contract is often
one year and renewable based on performance. The working language is English.

Skill
Requirements

* Fluent in at least
one major programming language and tools for systems, such as
C/C++/Rust/Docker; Knowledge in Rust will be especially positively considered
* Familiar with data mining
and deep learning techniques and tools, such as Large Language Models
* Familiar with static
program analysis and compiler techniques and tools
* Knowledge in
specialty areas, such as program translation, program analysis, programming
language design & implementation, automated software testing &
debugging, data mining & machine learning, especially deep learning of
software code, and related tools (such as C2Rust, LLVM, Tree-sitter, Txl, Coccinelle)
will be positively considered.
* Knowledge of software
security and vulnerabilities

The research project also
has openings for Research Engineers. The positions are full-time jobs for
Bachelor and/or Master Degree holders.
