Kirpal Singh is an internationally acclaimed writer and poet and is a familiar face at many of the world's biggest Arts Festivals (Edinburgh, Adelaide, York, Kent, Toronto,Singapore,etc)where his performance of his creative works holds audiences spell-bound.For over 20 eyars he taught Literature at the National University of Singapore and at the Nanyang Technological Unievrsity(where he was Head, Division of Literature & Drama) before being asked to join the newly established Signapore Management Unievrsity where he now teaches Creative Thinking. Though best-known as a writer(in 1997 he was invited as Distinguished International Writer by the world-famous Iowa Writing Program and his poems have been dramatised off Broadway, New York) and scholar in the world of literary/cultural studies, Kirpal has in the last 3 years begun to make an impressive profile in the international arena of Creativity/Innovative Leadership/Management. He is an accredited trainer in Creativity by the Center for Creative Leadership and is frequently invited to present Keynote Papers and Plenary Addreses at several major international Conferences on topics such as Diversity Management, Creatvity/Innovative Challenges for Business, and Cross-Cultural Understanding/Engagements.In 2000 he foudned the Centre for Cross-Cultural Studies and was its first director.Kirpal has authored and edited many books and is the writer of numerous journal articles and papers. He is right now finishing his much anticipated book -THINKING HATS & COLOURED TURBANS: Creativity Across Cultures -to be published by Prentice-Hall in June 2003.
