Ph.D. (2009), Computer Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), co-advised by Prof. Jiawei Han and Prof. Jeff Erickson.

My current research interests include large-scale constraint-based sequential, graph pattern mining and information/social network analysis, with applications on web, management information systems, business intelligence and bioinformatics. With a theoretical computer science background, I am also interested in algorithm design and complexity analysis for real-life problems in data mining and database systems.
